    Providing historical reproductions for the discerning reenactor, we offer a wide range of quality items that would have been available in the backcountry. It's also important to us that not only are the items available of good and correct quality, we also take pride in our presentation and faithfulness to historical examples of traders and sutlers of the era. 

    Our story within the hobby dates back to the 1970s when Jakes Dad, David Book began his sutler store. Over the years he sold under various names that you might recognize. Prairie Rapids Trade Company, McCannon Creek Station, D. Book Merchant etc. He had an eye for detail, always priding himself on his presentation and the one of kind items he often found. We seek to continue his legacy and build on this foundation. 

    In our shop you'll find goods ranging from sewing notions to accoutrements and everything in between.
